F.A.Q.
My hard drive crashed. Will all my data be recovered?
We will always try our utmost best to recover all the data on a crashed or failed hard drive. Hardware is very fickle once it has failed and recovering data from a failed HDD can be hard. We will never truly be able to give a true estimate of how much data we will be able to recover.
What is a Firewall?
A Firewall is a network security device that monitors and filters incoming and outgoing network traffic based on an organization’s previously established security policies. At its most basic, a firewall is essentially the barrier that sits between a private internal network and the public Internet.
Why would I need a Firewall?
Without it, your network is open to threats. A firewall keeps destructive and disruptive forces out, and controls the incoming and outgoing network traffic based on security parameters that you can control and refine
What is the difference between onsite backups and offsite backups?
Onsite storage usually entails storing important data on a periodic basis on local storage devices, such as hard drives, DVDs, magnetic tapes, or CDs. Offsite storage requires storing important data on a remote server, usually via the Internet, although it can also be done via direct access.
How many times should I backup my data?
That would be completely depended on data flow. So lets say you are a photographer that does on or two photo shoots a week, then I would advise doing a backup after each photo shoot. If you a small or medium company that has data changing everyday, I would then advise doing a daily backup. In short it would depend in data flow. If you are uncertain please contact us and we will assist you to meets your required demands.
Is offsite or Cloud Storage safe?
First, servers are usually located in warehouses or private buildings that most people don’t have access to. Secondly, the files stored on cloud servers are encrypted. This means that they are scrambled, which makes it far harder for cybercriminals to access.
